The many comments were very interesting as this question has long been in my mind to ask, when I found the right place, the right readership.
As some of you will be aware, I am not a believer, but, as I have written on other occasions, I have tried, or, as I saw written recently in a book, I have walked into the light but I never felt the warmth. Yes, I have also admitted that I sometimes feel a little jealous of those that do have a Faith to turn to in times of trouble.
Frankie Laine ( yes, that does kinda date me ) sang the words in one of his songs, "My Friend", and presumably we will all find out one day,
"...life is a road and though it ends at the bending,
.....then there's a road beyond this road that is unending..."
